Treatment of Agroindustrial Wastes

Technofluids has an integrated process called "expanded surface culture", thanks to which reject or surplus lignocellulosic products – like maize stalks, straw, branchwood etc. – are mixed with pig slurries in order to be transformed in organic bio-fertilizer. By means of an exclusive process, it is then possible to extract humic and fulvic acids, produced by the biomass expanded surface culture.

 This same organic bio-fertilizer represents also a perfect matrix for the production of BIOLOGICAL FILTERS used to curb smelly emissions.

The correct disposal of pig slurry allows respecting the nitrate directive, thus maintaining local farming. In Technofluids process, the liquid and solid phases are separated from the slurry.

After completely removing the solids, the liquid phase is purified in order to be reused in fertigation and/or farming cleaning, whereas the solid phase is mixed with previously chopped lignocellulosic rejects to create a special biomass, which then undergoes the “expanded surface culture". The high temperature reached in the process kills all pathogens.  Thanks to this process, it is possible to obtain a rich organic bio-fertilizer, which is smell free, safe to handle and rich of humic substances.

 The obtained bio-fertilizer is largely used in agriculture, thus ensuring a better soil structure in that it slowly releases nutritional substances to the crops. It can also be used as a peat substitute for many horticulture applications or for land reclamation.

The process used for treating pig slurry can also be used for oil mill vegetable waters, dairy wastewaters, grape pressing wastes, vegetable market and urban green waste.
