Treatment of Metalworking Fluids

By combining its own separation technologies in specific process aimed at treating fluids to be later reused, Technofluids R&D has collaborated with companies of the sector to develop the following technological solutions.

 Continuous regeneration of oil emulsions
The process developed by Technofluids Group completely removes all suspended solids and free oils. At the same time, it performs a physical process by creating a bacteriostatic environment in the emulsions, which avoids anaerobic bacteria proliferation, thus allowing oil emulsion life to be indefinitely extended, once the suspended solids and the free oil have been removed.

Neat oil recovery
By completely removing tars, slags and suspended solids in general, as well as by eliminating any  residual humidity, Technofluids Group can recover a “bright” oil that can either be recycled in the production process or reused in the engine from which it has been produced.

Grinding fluid regeneration
By using a system conceived to recover drilling fluids (Oil & Gas), Technofluids Group can ensure a forced separation (below 0.3 microns) of all solids contained in the grinding fluids, thus allowing their economical reuse.

Removing SCCPs (short chain chlorinated paraffins)
The great solubility of SCCPs in free oil allows to profitably use the “Water Wall” technology to remove harmful SCCPs from metal processing wastes before they are drained.

GENERALLY SPEAKING, TECHNOFLUIDS GROUP CAN OFFER ADVANCED TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS TO THE METAL PROCESSING INDUSTRY, THUS ALLOWING THE CONTINUOUS REMOVAL OF FOREIGN OILS (TRAMP OILS) AND SOLIDS DISPERSED IN THE PROCESSING FLUIDS AND CONTROLLING BACTERIA PROLIFERATION WITHOUT USING BACTERICIDES OR SIMILAR SUBSTANCES, WHICH WOULD MODIFY THE FLUID CHARACTERISTICS.
